Digital Marketing & Communications Specialist - Corporate

Location: Kent, WA

The Digital Marketing & Communications Specialist is a key strategic and creative position which brings Harbor’s 10+ brands to life. This role extends beyond social media management, and requires skillsets to craft digital campaigns, create compelling brand narratives, and develop engagement strategies that drive business results for both B2B and B2C audiences. Digital marketing and communications experience requires understanding and critical skills in shaping the voice of a brand, optimizing content for SEO, and crafting multi-platform campaigns in a demanding and competitive market sector. This position requires a deep combination of storytelling, digital marketing and analytics in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. **This position is hybrid eligible 3 days in office in either Lacey, WA or Kent, WA. Must be able to attend meetings, any urgent needs, and Harbor events via a reasonable city commute, no out of area candidates at this time.

Compensation: $28.85 - $38.46 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Storytelling & Digital Content Creation

  • Develop and execute digital content strategies that bring our brands and vendor partners to life.
  • Create compelling visuals, videos, and written content that showcase product innovation, customer success stories, and industry trends.
  • Ensure messaging aligns with brand voice, values, and identity.
  • Implement SEO best practices to improve organic search visibility, ensuring all digital content is optimized for reach and engagement.
  • Support branded merchandise and manage the Harbor Team store.

Social Media & Digital Presence

  • Manage and grow social media accounts across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and other relevant platforms.
  • Develop a mix of organic and paid content strategies to increase reach, engagement, and lead generation.
  • Monitor trends and engage with online communities to enhance brand reputation.

Vendor & Partner Marketing Campaigns

  • Develop compelling campaigns that highlight vendor partnerships, key product offerings, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to create multi-channel content to include email and newsletter campaigns that support vendor-driven promotions and sales growth.
  • Use storytelling and data-driven messaging to enhance the visibility and impact of vendor initiatives.

Presentation Development & Strategic Communications

  • Transform data, insights, and brand messages into visually compelling digital presentations and sales materials.
  • Work with leadership and vendor partners to create high-impact brand and product storytelling assets.
  • Ensure digital content, social media, and campaigns support Harbor Foods' overall brand narratives and storytelling objectives.
  • Support internal communication through community posts and team newsletters.

Analytics & Performance Optimization

  • Track and analyze digital engagement metrics to inform future marketing strategies.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine messaging, improve social performance, and enhance campaign effectiveness.
  • Report key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable recommendations.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Proven experience crafting digital marketing campaigns that blend storytelling with results.
  • Experience managing multiple brand voices and social media accounts.
  • Proficiency in content creation tools, including Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered marketing techniques and tools to enhance content creation and campaign effectiveness.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with the ability to craft engaging brand stories.
  • Experience running paid media strategy, audience targeting, and campaign optimization.
  • Strong presentation design skills to create impactful storytelling materials.
  • Analytical mindset with experience tracking digital performance metrics.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
  • 2-5 consistent years of professional experience in digital marketing, content creation, or brand communications.
  • Proven experience in social media management, email marketing, and campaign execution.
  • Prior work in B2B, B2C, or foodservice marketing is a plus.
