Slotting Specialist

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00/hr. Full time plus $2000 sign on bonus + with full benefits

Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00AM until completion

General Summary:
The slotting specialist primary purpose is to slot new items, and perform item maintenance (discontinue, item setup, requested moves, adjust min/max and holding power) for maximum operational efficiencies and safety.

Essential Job Functions:

• Use of Warehouse Management System.
• Determine item slotting for maximum efficiency.
• Coordinate and carry out the physical movements of product.
• Works closely with Management, Purchasing, IC and Receiving.
• Gather data from multiple sources for item move sets.
• Monitor substitute items and limited time offer (LTOs) for food service accounts.
• Monitor balance within pick departments and sections.
• Maintain, use, and manage slotting software project workbooks.
• Monitor non-stock location availability.
• Gather feedback from the leadership team and address issues in a timely manner.
• Other tasks as needed for vacation coverage.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by manager.
• Prompt email responsiveness and communication.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficient in Microsoft office
• Strong communication skill verbal and written
• Strong analytical skill
• Must be self-motivated
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to adapt to ever changing, high volume distribution center while working in cross functional team environment
• Ability to successfully manage concurrent projects, multiple priorities, and meet deadlines

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Three years’ experience in a Distribution Center environment preferably with experience in slotting, inventory control, or related warehouse operations.
